Use this Google Mapplet to create persistent point markers on Google Maps. Persistence works only on modern Browsers such as Chrome, Firefox, IE10+ that supports the IndexDB HTML feature. Once placed, markers can be edited, moved, deleted and exported out as KML, CSV or CSV(with WKT) formatted files. For CSV format output, the markers can be reprojected to another coordinate system including Cassini-Soldner, Mercator, Oblique Mercator and Transverse Mercator projections types on user selectable geodetic datums. The datum transformation between the WGS84 datum used by Google Maps and the local projection datum is done using the Standard Molodensky transformation. Parameters for the datums and ellipsoids are taken from the
University of Colorado.
